Where to get Thanksgiving ingredients

Here’s your chance to stock up on local produce for your Thanksgiving feast. Boulder County Farmer’s Market is hosting Cornucopia of Local this Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm at Boulder Outlook Hotel. Renegade Lunch Lady, Ann Cooper, with BVSD’s School Food Project will be part of a panel on the local food movement at 2 pm. More than 35 local farmers and food vendors will be present, selling their goods.

China, U.S. announce plan to work together on clean energy

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama and President Hu Jintao agreed Tuesday that U.S. and Chinese scientists and engineers will work together to speed the widespread use of electric cars, buildings that need far less energy and coal-fired power plants that don’t pump out gases that cause global warming.

We spoke with Brad Wolfe, owner of Boulder-based Organo-Lawn, this morning for an upcoming story about his winter project: Colorado Ski Tunes. The Boulderganic hook? The company has a driven commitment to green business. Their delivery trucks are fueled with B100 clean burning biodiesel, the shop and office is powered 90 percent by self-generated solar power and 10 percent wind power — and the service techs even wear 100 percent organic cotton shirts.

Gluten-free crust at Gondolier and The Sink

The Gluten Free Bistro, which provides gluten-free foods to Boulder restaurants, has expanded its clientele to two Boulder fixtures. Gondolier and The Sink Restaurant and Bar now serve Gluten Free Bistro’s pizza crust. The Sink’s Chef Scott will also use the gluten-free crust to make yummy sandwiches.
