Come out and support local female chefs at the 5th Annual “Females on Fire” dinner and auction hosted by Chef Sheila Lucero of Denver’s Jax Fish House. She will be joined by eight other Boulder/Denver chefs.

Lucero will host two evenings – one at Boulder’s Jax and the other at Denver’s Jax. The Denver Females on Fire will be on Tuesday, Jan. 12 at 6 p.m. The Boulder Females on Fire will be on Wednesday, Jan. 13 at 6 p.m. $100/ person for cocktail hour and five courses with wine pairings from Elyse Winery.

Boulder/Denver chefs include Mary Nguyen (Parallel 17), Elise Wiggins (Panzano), Aniedra Nichols (Elway’s Cherry Creek) and Kathleen Kenny Davia (Gateaux) from Denver; and Eliah Golden (The Med), Peggy Markel (Peggy Markel’s Culinary Adventures), Kelly Kingsford (Mateo) and Jennifer Bush (Ice Box Bakery).  As well as mixologists  Anika Zappe (Root Down) and Erin Kerns and Devlin DeVore (Centro Latin Kitchen & Refreshment Palace).

All proceeds from the event benefit the Females on Fire Culinary Scholarship, which affords local women with culinary school opportunities at Johnson & Wales University. Females on Fire has raised more than $13,000 in scholarship funds.
