Still growing

Boulderganic marks first anniversary

When we published our first issue of Boulderganic in June 2009, it was supposed to be an annual affair. We knew it would be a hit with our readers. But even we couldn’t have guessed how wildly popular it would become. Soon after that inaugural edition, it became clear that our readers wanted more.

Three months later, we published our first Fall/Winter edition, and now we’re proud to offer three issues of Boulderganic each year — Spring, Summer and Fall/Winter. With your input and support, each issue has been better than the one before, and the Summer 2010 edition is no exception.

Summer time is possibly the most beautiful, energizing time of the year in Boulder County. The chill of winter and the tumult of spring have both passed, and now is the time for reconnecting with nature and all of its benefits. It is the time to introduce your children to the joys of gardening, browse a different kind of thrift store for that DIY project you’ve been thinking about, or learn about a whole new way to grow your own food. In these pages, you’ll find infor mation and tips on all of that and more, as we talk to local business owners, nonprofits, health specialists, farmers and others.

And don’t forget, if you find yourself hungry for even more sustainable and healthy living content throughout the year, you can check out our weekly Boulderganic col umn every Thursday in the regular edition of Boulder Weekly. After all, sustainable living is a year-round practice! So take a glance at what Boulderganic Summer 2010 has to offer and, as always, drop us a line at info@boulderganic.com to let us know what you think.
