Tool School’s almost in session
Resource Yard offers a host of how-to classes this summer
To coincide with the launch of the Tool Library, the ReSource Yard is presenting Tool School, a weekly series of classes this summer that cover everything from beekeeping to bike maintenance. Tool School features more than 50 classes in five tracks: Tool Skills, Green Home DIY, Garden & Landscape, Tools for Efficiency and Tools for Kids. Classes run from April 16 through Oct. 29.
Classes cover both the basics — like Tools 101: Basic Hand Tools — and more advanced topics, like building your own backyard pizza oven.
All classes take place at the ReSource Yard at 6400 Arapahoe Rd., and classes can accommodate anywhere from 30 to 60 students. The CRC asks that students register early, however, especially for materials-heavy classes. Materials for most classes are included, and are supplied by the ReSource Yard.
Tool School will also be holding a special Earth Day celebration on Friday, April 22. Tool School will offer five workshops, including Building a Cold Frame Grow Box, Xeriscaping for Your Home, The Creative Commuter, How to Make a Bee Hive, and Essential Bicycle Maintenance.
You can find more information – or register for classes – at the CRC website here.
